Animal Hair

http://gsainath4u.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html

I found this image on the internet and found the concept brilliant. I really like the idea of merging two forms together as it is suprising and unique. I may decide to do something like this for my project such as create the bodies of my people and then form say the lungs out of there chest to experiment.

Whiskas

This is to show that Oragami is used in advertising today and this example is really good as the paper has been shaped into a pig and the ingredients of the cat food is pork.

Paul Rand

http://motiondesign.wordpress.com/2007/11/14/imaginary-forces-paul-rand/

Paul Rand is a well know Graphic Designer. He has produced work for a range of well known companies such as IBM. His work has a cut-out style and looks very enjoyable. The styling is quite childlike but i believe this makes his designs friendly and easy to digest.

An example of how to present people by the fashion illustrator James Thomas - this design is created in a collaged manner.

Fun, Friendly and Informative!

The tone of voice that I am going to base my piece around is a fun, friendly and informative piece of design. So that it is enjoyable to look at and although it will include fact the information will be presented in a friendly manner that won't seem daunting to any of my target audience.

Relationship with Product/Service

The target audience would begin their relationship with this product in magazines, adverts or billboards.

http://www.crestock.com/image/753224-woman-is-reading-the-magazine.aspx

They would interact by viewing the product and then disgusing the information with a friend.

http://www.treehugger.com/2007/09/23-week/

It would probabley be the first time that they would have heard about this statistic and it would probabley be viewed once but talked about several times.

The unique selling point is that the statistic is fact and this is important to consumers, they would know they can trust the information and would have no fear of telling others of what they have found out.

Acorn Results

When typing in the Huddersfield postcode HD1 1QJ in the Acorn postcode lookup the results of the kind of people that live in that area were:

Catagory 2 - Urban Prosperity
Group E - Educated Urbanites
Type 17 - Young educated workers, flats

Brand Perception

The target consumer would understand that the information given is based on true fact and the relationship with them would be to take interest from the visuals and then consider the statistic and be amazed.

If they were to take interest then they may tell a friend as it would make them look knowledgeable, this would then enhance the relationship as they would have confidence in knowing what they are saying is definate fact.

Brand Promise

The brand promise of the service is to present a true fact to the viewer and the way that the service supports that is by making the styling interesting so that the audience want to know the statistics within the piece.

Information Design Poster

The service that my piece will be providing will be a factual poster that uses information design in a creative and memorable way to bring across a statistic that is true.
