I found the layering and colour scheme of this piece very intreging. I also like how the information appears to be set inside a stamp.

Design For Fun

These symbols are very successful and to the point they are easy to understand and have a vibrant and friendly feel to them. They are used to direct you through the website above and I feel that they are very suitable for there purpose.

Newhouse Design Map

This map is very inspiring to me as it illustrates factual information in a way that isn't often seen. Although the illustrations are very simple they make the piece look fun and interesting. I also feel that the type also compliments the piece.

Newhouse Design

I find these isotope people very interesting as they take the average structure of a human and turn them into creative characters that are eye-catching and enjoyable to digest. They use stereotypical areas of life to illustrate effective designs that the viewer can understand and digest easily.
These designs were created for the Newhouse Design website. Michael Newhouse wanted a new look for the site and asked his friend Ben Barry (http://www.designforfun.com/portfolio.php) to help.
The utilisation of the design is that the consumer is directed through the website by these symbols.
The designs are illustratively lead with black silhouettes, orange backing and multicolured details. The designs use isotope figures that represent Michael and Meta Newhouse.
The tone of voice is fun, comical and friendly.
The companies unique selling point is that they are capible of a range of different Graphic Design jobs and aren't afraid of any size job.
